Ocean Universal in Westcourt carries a large spearfishing selection. Makes sense — the business was originally Spearfishing Superstore, so that side of things has always been the core.
In stock you'll find rail spearguns, spearfishing wetsuits, carbon and fibreglass fins, low-volume masks, weight belts, floats, dive knives, and general learn how spearo accessories. It's all chosen for tropical conditions — not temperate stock that won't last in FNQ.
They became Ocean Universal because the business had already started stocking scuba and freediving gear over the years. But the spearo side hasn't been reduced. It's still a core part they do.
The crew are FNQ spearfishers and can help with what works on the local reefs.
